One Heck Of A Battle
What would it feel like to wake up and not remember anything that’s happened to you ever? This is what one of the main characters of the story The Lost Hero, Jason Grace felt like in the very beginning of the story. He woke up on a bus and only knew that his name was Jason. He was sitting next to two kids, the other main characters of the story, Piper McLean and Leo Valdez who were apparently his friends. They were on a bus from the Wilderness School on a field trip. They were going to the Grand Canyon for their trip. Once they got there and on to the outside platform over the Grand Canyon, something weird started to happen. There was a cloud above that was only covering the platform. It started to rain, get very windy and a thunderstorm started, so everyone went inside while Piper and her partner for the trip, Dylan, held the doors open. After everyone got through, the doors shut and Piper, Jason, Leo, Dylan, and the teacher, Coach Hedge, were stuck outside. Dylan seemed like he was happy that this happened, and he was. It was like he was controlling the storm. As it turned out, Dylan was part of the storm. He pushed Piper into a wall and Leo off the platform, with winds. Coach Hedge suddenly started running down the canyon, got Leo, and ran back up. Jason pulled a coin out of his pocket, flipped it, and it became a sword. He was able to hid Dylan with it, which caused him to retreat. In the process, Dylan grabbed Coach Hedge and flew up into the clouds.
Confused? What just happened is Jason, Leo, and Piper are demigods, half god, half human, and were being hunted down by Dylan, a venti, or storm spirit, and Coach Hedge was a satyr, half goat, half human, and trying to protect Jason, Leo, and Piper.
After all of this happened, a girl and a boy in a flying carriage came and retrieved the three and brought them to a camp for demigods, Camp Half-Blood. This is were all of the children of a Greek god and a human stay for protection from being hunted down by monsters.
